This grant proposal was submitted to the Dodge & Cox Foundation to request funding for Performing Stars of Marin. This non-profit organization enriches the lives of low-income, multicultural children in Marin County through various educational and artistic programs.

The 2023 Dodge & Cox Foundation Grant Request was approved, securing $10,000 of funding for the organization.

For the 2023 Dodge & Cox Foundation Grant Request and all other grants, I researched the foundation's funding priorities and guidelines to tailor our proposal to align with its mission and values. I developed a robust narrative that outlined Performing Stars' history, mission, and the pressing need for continued support. This included detailing our programs, such as after-school and summer enrichment scholarships, youth etiquette classes, and safety net services. I underscored the positive outcomes of our programs, such as improved academic performance and heightened self-esteem among participants, supported by compelling data and personal stories. I assisted in preparing a detailed budget that clearly outlined how the requested $10,000 grant would be allocated to maximize program impact. I ensured the final document was polished and persuasive, incorporating feedback from the Executive Director and other stakeholders to enhance the proposal's effectiveness.

As the Grant writer and Editor for Performing Stars of Marin, I played a pivotal role in developing and refining our grant proposals to secure funding for our programs. My responsibilities included:

• Strategic Communication: Coordinating communication with key stakeholders, including donors, community partners, and board members, to ensure the proposals aligned with their expectations and needs.

• Content Development: Wrote compelling narratives highlighting the impact of the organization's programs on the community, emphasizing the transformative stories of the children and families we serve.

• Proposal Editing: Edited all organization writing to ensure clarity, coherence, and professionalism, ensuring each document effectively conveys their mission and the necessity of their programs.

• Data Integration: Integrating quantitative and qualitative data to support funding requests, demonstrating the programs' tangible benefits and successes.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with program directors, volunteers, and community members to gather insights and testimonials that enriched proposals and highlighted the community's voice.
